Zach Braff has revealed that he is willing to make and serve pizzas to gay couples in Indiana alongside his Scrubs’ co-star Donald Faison.

The two actors made this announcement on Twitter following the hugely controversial new law that came into effect in the state recently.

This post was in response to Walkerton, Indiana’s Memories Pizza’s choice to refuse to make pizzas for same-sex wedding services. They insisted that they could do this because of Indiana’s new “religious freedom” law.

Those who have supported Memories Pizza’s decision have raised over $842,000 in donations over the last few days courtesy of a Go Fund Me page that is designated to the company. This was in response to the “financial loss endured by the proprietors’ stand for faith.”

Since making the post last Friday, Braff’s message has been favorited just under 13,750 times while it’s also been retweeted 8,277 times. However it’s not yet known if either Braff or Faison have responded to any requests to actual cater for any weddings yet.

Braff isn’t the first celebrity to take a stand against the state’s controversial new law. According to US Weekly , during her appearance at a concert in Indiana, Indianapolis, over the weekend, Rihanna is believed to have verbally protested the law.

“Who’s feeling these new bulls*** laws they’re trying to pass over here? I say f*** that s***. I wanna hear you say, ‘F*** that s***,’ cause we’re just living our motherf****** lives. Indiana!”

Donald Faison and Zach Braff’s friendship began after they were both cast in NBC’s Scrubs in 2001 as the adorably close chums J.D. and Christopher Turk. J.D was a young attending physician who rose with prominence through the show’s seven seasons, while Turk was a surgeon.

In other Zach Braff related news, the actor and director, whose most recent cinematic effort was Wish I Was Here , celebrated his 40th birthday on Monday.

In Europe I’m 40.
