Ed Westwick was accused of raping actress Kristina Cohen on November 6, and just one day later, the former Gossip Girl cast member spoke out against the woman’s claims, revealing that he has no idea who Cohen is.
In a statement shared on his official Twitter account, Ed Westwick made it clear to his fans and followers that he has never raped anyone, nor has he forced himself on a woman in any way.
“I do not know this woman,” he confirmed on November 7. “I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”
Around the time of Ed Westwick’s tweet, his girlfriend of several months, model Jessica Serfaty, seemingly addressed the scandal as well, claiming that she knows her actor boyfriend would never have committed the crimes alleged by Kristina Cohen.
“I know you, I know the truth,” she reportedly wrote on her unconfirmed Twitter account. “Such sadness in my heart. I love your kind gentle soul.”
Ed Westwick and Jessica Serfaty confirmed their relationship at the end of May with a photo post on the model’s Instagram page, and in the caption of the image, Serfaty said she was swooning for the actor.
In a Facebook post shared on Monday, Kristina Cohen claimed to have been raped by Ed Westwick three years prior. As she explained, she was dating a friend of Westwick’s when the unidentified man brought her to the actor’s house to meet him for the first time.
“We should all f**k,” Westwick allegedly told Cohen during the night in question.
Although Kristina Cohen reportedly wanted to leave the actor’s home at that point, she ultimately decided to take a nap in his guest room before allegedly being woken up by the actor, who proceeded to get on top of her and violate her with his hands before telling her that he allegedly wanted to be intimate.
“I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me,” Kristina Cohen alleged.
As for the actress’ boyfriend, he reportedly blamed her for the incident and claimed she was not against hooking up with Ed Westwick. He reportedly also told her that if she was ever to come forward with her accusations against the actor, Westwick would have his people destroy her and ruin her chances of having a career in acting.
