Pharrell has been quite the busy musician lately. Always hailed as the king of collaborations, (hey, he could put ole Snoop Dogg to shame), he has quite a bit on his plate right now.

In the last year he has released a new album G I R L , which has been met with enthusiastic praise from critics and fans alike. Ever the workhorse, Pharrell has been feverishly touring to promote G I R L before his scheduled appearance as a seasoned music industry coach on Season 7 of NBC’s The Voice . He also recently hit a landmark for most downloads of a very popular song. Earlier in the week, reports flooded in that Pharrell’s hit song “Happy” became the most downloaded song of all time in the UK.

Naturally, this is simply not enough action for Pharrell, so recently he decided to add a heaping pile of excitement onto his already entirely too crowded plate. At the iTunes Festival in London on Wednesday, September 10, Pharrell was joined by fellow N.E.R.D Shay Haley and Vibe magazine had the following to report regarding some pretty interesting statements made about a possible N.E.R.D reunion.

“It feels good to be back in London. When we released our first album back in 2001 and first crossed the Atlantic, this was the first place to embrace us. You’re gonna like this s–t we’re gonna release…”

Although Pharrell Williams didn’t completely back up his fellow N.E.R.D’s statement, he didn’t exactly deny that there could be another album in the works. The Source reported the following statement in conjunction with Shay Haley’s previous affirmation.

“There will always be an NERD. I’m happy to be a nerd; the bullies lost, the nerds win.”

For now, Pharrell Williams has his coaching duties to tend to on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice , with the season premiere just over a week away. Pharrell joins Voice veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and fellow Voice newbie Gwen Stefani. In addition to this dynamic quartet, The Voice has attracted some super star talent to help out Adam, Blake, Gwen, and Pharrell. Stevie Nicks will mentor Team Adam, Little Big Town will mentor for Team Blake, Alicia Keys will show up to represent Team Pharrell, and Gwen Stefani has enlisted the help of her husband, Gavin Rossdale. It looks to be an exciting upcoming season, and we’re relatively certain we’ll see at least one performance by N.E.R.D before the Season 7 champion is crowned.

We’ll just have to wait and see!
